As well as the immediate neighbourhood, there are many other sights and points of interest within the scope of a day's touring.
Example, take the following route : Glencree, Sally Gap, Lough Tay, Roundwood, Glen Da Lough, Rathdrum, Avoca, Rathnew, Kilmacanogue, Enniskerry. Highlights on this circular trip would be : the 6th century monastic centre at Glen Da Lough, Ballykissangel of TV fame at Avoca, Mount Usher Gardens at Ashford, and the Avoca Handwaevers at Kilmacanogue.
Another alternative is to spend a day in Dublin. Many visitors leave their car in Enniskerry and take the bus or the 'Dart' train from Bray
